Phrase of the day: Świętosławski ebulliometer

"Świętosławski ebulliometer" is a good phrase. It measures the boiling point of a liquid.

Apparently "ebullient" comes from the Latin term for boiling over ("bubbling out"). I wonder if "bubbly" (to describe someone's personality) has the same etymology?

...but mostly because I'm addicted to them, I think. Tumblr notifications are sort of empty social calories. Comments seem more nutritious.

On the other hand, the lack of reliable dopamine hits probably makes it much harder to keep a community going here.
